Fund Development Programs
"A pessimist, they say, sees a glass of water as being half empty; an optimist sees the glass as half full. But a giving person sees a glass of water and
starts looking for someone who might be thirsty."
- G. Donald Gale
These programs are your opportunity to create a positive impact in the life of a girl. All money raised by the Council supports the Council and stays in mid-Michigan. Unless specified, all contributions make it possible to provide ongoing services to troops, programs to serve at-risk populations, maintenance for camps and free training for leaders.
Gifts for Girls
Individual contributions may be cash, check, charge or a gift of equities. Contributions on your charge card may be made online using our secured site. A mail campaign is conducted both in the spring and fall.
Family Partnership
Parents and families may make a contribution at the time of their daughter’s registration or
anytime throughout the year. For a contribution of $20, each girl in the family gets the Family Partnership Patch. For a contribution of $100, the family can select a Family Fun Pack activity:
- 4 tickets to a selected children’s performance at The Wharton Center
- 4 tickets to an MSU Women’s Athletic Event of your choice (regular season)
- Bowling for 4 at a Bowling Alley of your choice
All That Glitters Program - All That Glitters is GSMCC's event honoring Girl Scouts' accomplishments for the year especially the Gold Award recipients. The Gold Award is the highest award earned by girls in Girl Scouting. If you are interested in sponsoring an ad in our program book for the event, please click: 2008 All That Glitters Sponsorships for more information.
Planned Giving - Remembering The Past - Preserving The Future
Options people may choose to plan their estates to help ensure that Girl Scouting will continue to help girls grow to be contributing members and leaders of our society. GSMCC works with a team of professionals in estate planning to develop individual planned giving programs. People who have identified GSMCC in their estate plans are members of The Promise Circle.
