2008 All That Glitters

Our 2008 All That Glitters Program recognizing Girl Scouts receiving awards, especially our Gold, Silver and Bronze Award recipients will be held

Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 7:00 pm

Hannah Community Center

819 Abbott Rd, East Lansing, MI

There is no charge to attend the program

but please RSVP to the Service Center (699-9400)

by Wednesday, May 7th if you wish to attend.

 

GSMCC WALK OF FAME EVENT - May 21, 2008

for Star Performers that sold 360 boxes and above

The event will be held at the MSU Abrams Planetarium on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 6:00 pm (due to the the construction being done on the planetarium, we were unable to get weekend).  After the event, we will be outside to make MSU Ice Cream sundaes and prizes.  This event is free to all the Star Performers but if an adult/guardian wants to attend it will cost them $2.50, payable at the door.  All registrations must be in by May 15th, Event #8010.  We are sorry but there will be no tagalongs permitted to attend this event. 

 

Lansing Lugnuts Girl Scout Game and/or Sleepover

Join us for the 13th Annual Girl Scout Night at Olds Park in Lansing, Friday, May 30, 2008. All registrations and game tickets are being handled directly by Lansing Lugnuts not the council office. The overnight camping registration deadline is Friday, May 1st.  Anyone including family members can attend just the game.  For more information on overnight registration, purchasing game tickets and contacts at Lansing Lugnuts click below:

2008 GSUSA National Council Session/ 51st Convention

We have elected our National Delegates to attend the GSUSA National Session but any Girl Scout member (adult or girl) can attend the Convention. It is in Indianapolis, Indiana, October 30- November 2, 2008. This is an excellent opportunity for girls to experience girl oriented seminars and see the GSUSA National Council Session at work. To attend you must be a registered Girl Scout and the registration cost is $175 per girl or $245 per adult. Registrations can only be made directly through our council (you can not registered directly with GSUSA) and we will need to have the registration fee at the Service Center by July 11, 2008 if you wish to attend. The registration fee does not include, hotel, meals or travel expenses. 2008 Mason Day Camp- June 16-19, 2008 Mason Day Camp

Mackinac Island Governor's Honor Guard Younger Girl Program

The Mackinac Island Governor’s Honor Guard Troop 609 Invite all Girl Scouts to visit Mackinac Island and see a day in the life of an Honor Guard Scout!  While the Honor Guard is on Mackinac Island there is a special program that girls can participate in to learn more about the program.  It is August 10th, 2008 with various activities at your own pace from 9am-6:30pm.  Click Mackinac Island Honor Guard Younger Girl Program for more information.

2008 GSUSA Girl Leadership Institute

GSUSA Girl Leadership Institute is offering  some awesome opportunities for adette and Senior Girl Scouts to participate in this summer at The Edith Macy Conference Center.  Macy is the Girl Scout training center located in New York State.  It is a fabulous facility and GSUSA runs wonderful programs.  The Leadership Institute programs are fabulous opportunities for girls and they only cost $100 – travel and board included!  Please click on 2008 Girl Leadership Institute for more information.  Please promote and share these opportunities to your girls.  The applications are attached to the website description on the GSUSA Studio 2B website in the destinations/getaway section.
